Dr. Adrian A Husain

Dr. Adrian A Husain is currently Senior Fellow in the Dept. of Shahjahan S. Karim Academic Writing Center at IoBM. He was educated in England and Switzerland.He did his BA (Hons.) at New College, Oxford. He later received a PhD for a thesis on Shakespeare and Machiavelli from the University of East Anglia and authored the critically acclaimed Politics and Genre in Hamlet (OUP, 2004 with a Foreword by the distinguished Oxford academic, the late John Bayley).  His areas of special interest are the Renaissance and early twentieth century fiction and poetry. He also has several published academic articles to his credit. He is a winner of the prestigious Guinness Poetry Prize A selection of his verse was published under the title Desert Album as part of OUPs Jubilee Poetry in English series (1997) He recently launched his collection of sonnets, Italian Window (Alhambra, 2017) in Karachi.  He has conducted literary workshops at the KLF besides taking part in a panel discussion on Virginia Woolf at the LLF in 2016. He is a prolific writer. Much of his work - a substantial body of verse, a novel and a book on Shakespeares Richard II - is still to be published.
